2006 Educational Function of the New Elementary School Types in Switzerland
On behalf of the Swiss Conference of Cantonal Ministers of Education of the Eastern Part of Switzerland this statement is composed to describe the educational function of the new elementary school types in Switzerland. It provides a basis for discussions how the different types should be developed further.
2005–2006 Earlier Beginning of Compulsory Schhool in Switzerland
The Swiss Conference of Cantonal Ministers of Education seeks to coordinate the educational system in Switzerland. One crucial question is the beginning of compulsory schooling. This expertise describes the current situation in the different cantons of Switzerland and generates some conclusions if an earlier beginning of compulsory schooling should be considered.

The transition from school to working life is extremely demanding. Because career choice has such significance both for the individual and for the development of society, it is astounding that there is so little empirical knowledge on the subject.

1998–2001 Kindergarten and Primary School: Characteristics of Two Professional Fields.
In the 1990’s a reform of the teacher-training has taken place. One innovation is the combined teacher-training for Kindergarten and the first two classes of primary school. For lack of empirical data the Bernese cantonal department for education commissions a study to analyse the two professional fields.
